Diamond Back vs Rockies!

Our adventure this weekend took us to the Diamondbacks baseball game at Chase field. It was even a win...DBacks 3 to Rockies 2!!!

We had a great time full of baseball chants, bobble heads, Baxter the bob cat, tones of food, and of course cotton candy.  I especially enjoyed the boys reactions, they had so much fun!

I am a RUNNER!

I am a runner! That is a sentence I never would of dreamed would come out of my mouth.   But it is true.   I have found that walking and jogging to be very relaxing and fun.   I am picturing my friend Rebecca right now rolling on the ground laughing since she is the one that hears me complain the entire time we are running!!!  Yesterday  Rebecca and I join 30,000 other people for the 9th annual Pat Tillman Run in Tempe. It was an amazing day filled with great stories of courage and adventure. We even saw someone carrying a zebra...not sure why but you have to love the originality!  I am hoping that the boys join me next year!

In March Rebecca, Jim, and I also ran the 10 k in the phoenix marathon.  It was our first race but we finished in 1 hour 37 minutes.  Not bad for 6.2 miles!!!

Look we are even smiling...I know we are nuts !

Trying to catch my breath at the end...

Cool My first Medal!

It was a great feeling of accomplishment!  I just want to say thanks to my good friend Rebecca,  WE DID IT!!!
                                                                                                         I am a runner!

Spring is in the air!

Don't you just love Spring!  I am so excited to have all my hanging baskets done and my garden planted.   This year we have cucumbers, 4 kinds of tomatoes, 3 types of peppers, corn, pees, spinach, summer squash, and lots of herbs!  I am going to try to grow watermelon under a new citrus tree in the far back corner of the back yard, I am hoping that will give the plants enough shade to survive our Arizona sun.

The boys are also enjoying spring!!! of course their idea is a not as relaxing.   Their adventure is air soft epic battles...So the yard also has lots of small yellow pellets...

I am thinking next weekend we will be having a relaxing day of flying kites! I so love spring!

Easter with my peeps!

Easter 2013 started with a night of dying Easter Eggs, with a new spin.   What I mean is that instead of just the normal dip and dye, we also tried a new spinning dye master tool from Duddly the Easter Bunny!
The Spin Masters!

Zach showing us the classic dunk and dye
Easter morning was spent looking for eggs...plastic because The Easter Bunny has met Dino and Diva!

Of course we are still finding eggs... In a attempt to limit the candy there was of course Skylanders and Lego's too...

We rounded the day by going to Dennis and Jane's House for great food and amazing company.  Our friend Rebecca joined us for dinner.  It was nice to have her be part of the fun!   Isn't it wonderful to be surrounded by friends and family!!! It was a great day of  fun!
                                                                                            Until the next adventure!
